Affirmative Action
A government policy established to redress past discrimination through active measures to increase equal opportunities, as in admissions or employment, for minority groups and women.

Equal Employment Opportunity
The Federal legislation mandating nondiscriminatory hiring practices. It includes policies, procedures, and programs for the recruitment, employment, training, promotion, layoff, compensation and retention of minority and physically handicapped persons and women.

Customer Relationship Management

CRM typically involves: improving customer service, increasing customer loyalty and expanding the client base.

ASP
Application Service Provider
A third-party organization that hosts and maintains software applications in-house and rents the applications to customers over the Internet for a fee.

Software as a Service
A software solution designed specifically for web delivery that is deployed on demand and supported by the software vendor as a service. This delivery model eliminates the need of the customer to perform daily maintenance and provide technical support for the software.
